Installation
============


Stable release
--------------

To install fzf-wal, run this command in your terminal:

.. code-block:: console

    $ pip install fzf_wal

Your python version must be 3.6 or higher.

This is the preferred method to install fzf-wal, as it will always install the most recent stable release.

If you don't have `pip`_ installed, this `Python installation guide`_ can guide
you through the process.

To install fzf-wal to your path, you can use `pipsi`_, which will create a script in ~/.local/bin.

Alternatively, for arch linux users, fzf-wal can be installed from `aur`_.

From sources
------------

The sources for fzf-wal can be downloaded from the `Github repo`_.

You can either clone the public repository:

    $ git clone git://github.com/shanedabes/fzf_wal

Or download the `tarball`_:

.. code-block:: console

    $ curl  -OL https://github.com/shanedabes/fzf_wal/tarball/master

Once you have a copy of the source, you can install it with:

.. code-block:: console

    $ python setup.py install
